Gunmen suspected to be hired assassins have killed a Warri-based popular businessman and dealer in exquisite cars, Mr Nelson Ugboh, in Delta State.
Ugboh, 40, who owned an auto mart opposite St. Anthony Catholic Church, Airport Road, Effurun-Warri, was reportedly shot dead around 10pm on Sunday, as he drove into his house.
Sources said that the assailants tracked him to his residence located behind Regent International School and close to the Christ Embassy Church in Jeddo, Okpe Local Government Area of the state, before shooting him in the head at a close range.
It was gathered that Ugboh died on the spot after which the assailants fled the scene.
One of the gunmen was said to have entered Ugboh’s apartment and made away with some items suspected to be vital business documents.
The deceased was said to have left behind two wives and five children.
When contacted, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Hafiz Inuwa, confirmed the incident.
He told journalists that the police were investigating the incident.
